Read this patient information leaflet carefully before applying this paramedicine. With this over-the-counter paramedicine, you can treat mild, passing symptoms without medical supervision. For the optimal effect however, it is essential that the preparation is administered carefully, according to the specifications. Prostazyn film-coated tablet
It is a paramedicine, the effects of its components are verified by data in medical literature.

What active substances does it contain?
200 mg saw palmetto fruit (Sabalis serrulatae fructus) 50% dry extract (8-11:1), 50 mg nettle root (Urticae radix) 70% dry extract (12-16:1), 30 mg goldenrod (Solidaginis virgaureae herba) 97% dry extract (5-7: 1)/film-coated tablet

What else does the preparation contain?

Auxiliary materials:
Tablet core: calcium hydrogen phosphate (identical with 243 mg calcium) microcrystalline cellulose, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, magnesium stearate, colloid silicon dioxide.

Coating:
"Opadry OY-B-28920 white": polyvinyl-alcohol, talc, soy lecithin, xanthan gum (E415), titanium dioxide colouring substance (E171).

What is the preparation recommended for?

It is recommended for benign prostatic hyperplasia, as well as the concomitant complaints and symptoms listed below:

  • frequent or urging need to urinate night and day,
  • difficulty, intermittency or pain experienced during urination,
  • dripping after urination,
  • feeling of incomplete voiding of the urinary bladder.

When should you avoid taking this preparation?
Do not take the preparation if you are hypersensitive (allergic) to its active substances or auxiliary materials, if you have kidney disorders or a high calcium level in the blood.

What do you need to know before starting to take the tablet?
Consult an expert (doctor, pharmacist) before taking the tablet if you have a chronic kidney disorder.

Can children take this preparation?
Children cannot take the preparation. Keep out of reach of children!

Can you take the preparation with other medicines?
The preparation, owing to its calcium content, may interact with particular medicines. At least 3 hours should pass between taking antacids, medicines containing fluoroquinolone, tetracycline, phenytoin, penicillamine, bisphosphonate, thiazines and this preparation.

What is the recommended dose?
2x1 film-coated tablet per day.

How and when should you take the preparation?
Take the film-coated tablet in the morning and the evening following meals with a glass of water or fruit juice.

What side effects may the preparation have?
Transitional, mild stomach complaints may rarely occur.

What else should you make sure during the application of the preparation?
Do not take the preparation after the expiry date printed on the packaging!

How long can you take the preparation?
The beneficial effect is expectable after about 3-4 weeks of continuous application. The preparation can be taken until the complaints ease to the required degree. If no result can be observed after 3 months of taking it, stop taking the tablet.

How to store the preparation?
Store it below 25 oC in a dry place
